Oklahoma's Wineries

Wine tourists typically expect to be able to visit multiple vineyards and wineries in a single day of wine tasting.  In fact, we hear from many folks who visit Nuyaka Creek, Grape Ranch, Natura, Sparks and Tidal School vineyards ALL in the same day! For this reason, we see all Oklahoma wineries as complimenting our own winery rather than competing with us. We also hope to buy fruit from as many local vineyards as possible.  If your family operates a fruit orchard or vineyard, contact us today!

Cultivation of wine grapes offers Oklahoma farmers an attractive alternative crop because grapes grow well on small acreages of less fertile soil that might not be suitable for other types of agriculture. Over 50 acres of wine grapes were planted in Oklahoma vineyards in 2001 and with the help of the Oklahoma Dept. of Tourism, the opportunities to experience Oklahoma wines will keep on growing!

"I rejoice as a moralist at the prospect of a reduction of the duties on wine, by our national legislature. It is an error to view a tax on that liquor as merely a tax on the rich....No nation is drunken where wine is cheap; and none sober, where the dearness of wine substitutes ardent spirits as the common beverage." -- Thomas Jefferson
